GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION AS A SECRET TO SUCCESS

by Jack Canfield
The best attitude you can possibly aspire to express year-round is one of gratitude and appreciation.
Being truly grateful for what is already present in your life will automatically and effortlessly attract more good into your life.
Make a conscious decision to appreciate and acknowledge all that you have already been blessed with. These emotions are of the highest vibrational frequency, and through the Law of Attraction they will attract even more to be thankful for.
Try to be grateful for even the difficult and challenging situations that arise in your life.
It is often through these situations, that we experience the most profound spiritual and emotional growth. You can learn to view each apparent obstacle as an opportunity to develop a new quality, strength, skill, insight or wisdom and be grateful for the lessons. Each challenge is an opportunity for growth and expansion.
Rise to these occasions, and appreciate all that you are learning in the process. Keeping your attitude positive and appreciative through these times will not only help to avoid attracting more of these difficult situations into your life ─ it will also create a field of positive energy that will attract more of what you do want.
"Of all the attitudes we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important, and by far the most life-changing."-
Zig Ziglar

SYNERGY CREATES ENERGY

By: Denis Waitley
Living by comparison is fatal vision, for always there will
be those who appear better off and worse off than ourselves
at any given moment in time.

In truth, there is no such distinction as superior and
subordinate. We all have unique talents that will blossom
and flourish when nurtured.

In past decades, there was a more "look out for number one"
and "don't bring in people who might want your job" style of
leadership. You generally would hire those people who would
do as they were told and who wouldn't challenge your ideas
or authority. This type of thinking led to bulging
bureaucracies and mediocre middle management that
accomplished little.

This mind-set also created a scarcity mentality that there
wasn't enough to go around: so don't share ideas, don't
brainstorm with others who might steal your concepts, and
above all, don't help your coworkers or employees succeed.
We have seen that this approach clearly will not work in the
global marketplace of the knowledge age.

Today the challenge is to establish networks, strategic
alliances, synergistic relationships, and ad hoc teams to
solve problems and help everyone accomplish their goals. You
now look for those people who are not satisfied with the
status quo, who are striving for excellence and have talents
and abilities that you don't.

This requires that you "check your ego at the door" and that
you don't get intimidated by others who may have different
talents or strengths than you do. This is what synergy is
all about. As we value the differences and look at truly
working together, one plus one really can equal three or
even more.

Focus on "working with others" rather than
"competing against others."

LIFE IN DUBAI

I've read Umma's post about Life In America. So I wanna share to her the kind of life that most of Filipino's have here in Dubai.

Over a thousand Filipinos arrive in Dubai every month. And why not?
Literally, the sun shines here all year round; prosperity is in the air; and it’s a place where people have reasons to dream of waking up in the morning as millionaires or with kilos of gold on their lap!
Betcha by golly wow! Paano ko ie-explain to fascinated Pinoys back home our living condition here!
Noong una akala ko isolated cases. But with the skyrocketing apartment rents in this City of Gold , such conditions are becoming the norm.
Sideways…sidesteps
Hindi yan dance step. That’s the latest move ngayon sa mga sharing flats. “Hoy, where have you been, ba? Hindi ka na umuuwi sa flat!” Kasi nga lagi silang naka-sideview!
Warning: Smoking is dangerous to your room.
Di ba nga naman, styrofoam keeps you fresh!
Gets mo?!!!” “Yes, Ate.”
Therefore, ‘no smoking’: ang sirena baka maging daing!
Burj Al ‘Cupboards’
Haven’t we heard, the Philippines is a major supplier of architects in Dubai ? In other words, nasa dugo natin yan! Kaya ba ng Arabong gumawa ng rooms out of cupboards, luggages and shoe boxes?
Siyempre, the taller the better — you keep your neighbor’s eyes away.
Now Showing
Parang barangay, complete with eskinitas. Kada bukas ng telon, parang movie — sari-saring life. May natutulog, may nag-eemote, may nka-curlers, may nakasimangot. Sa panlimang kurtina, may nag-totong-its, sa pang-anim, may naggugupit.
Ang gandang movie, di ba? “Ang Pinoy sa Likod ng Kurtina!”
Paraisong Kurtina
Ayyy! Our Paraisong Kurtina. It can make you laugh, it can make you cry.
Be proud of our Paraisong Kurtina. It exists because we’d rather send our money home than spend more for our comfort. Within its walls, lies our desire for a little privacy, our groans, our tears, our dreams, our struggle for some little savings. My curtain says a lot. It says, “I have saved again, inay; I’ll be able to send money next month.”
Dream mo pa bang pumunta ng Dubai ????
Mag isip-isip…. (by Juan dela Cruz Band )

SCENERY

I went to one of our client in Old Jadaff today morning to replace the check we issued last week. On my way, i took some photos of landscape, trees, flowers & desert plants.

I wonder how these plants survive in the desert. I don't think there is a water sprinkler in this remote area.

Daisy - the seasons flower planted all over the city of Dubai. Aren't they nice to see? Sometimes these flowers are one of the reason why commuters smile. Other people may not greet you early in the morning but these flowers greets you and smiled at you. And if they can speak i'm sure they'll say that you may have a great day:)

Date Palm Tree - A native tree to Northern Africa and the Middle East. They say that it's fruit has a natural sugar. As i have observed during Ramadan here, it's the first solid food they take during Iftar.

The Date Palm, the flowers, the greenery.

I'm sure, if not of these view i'll be irritated because of too much traffic. Then one thing, the taxi driver is such a nice and friendly guy. So even if it took me 1 1/2 hours before reaching Old Jaddaf, it doesn't matter anymore. I had these two reasons to be thankful already.

MY NEPHEW

Inspired by Umma for the surprise she sent to Niko, I tried to search online for new backgrounds and embellishments for the scrapbook that i wanted to create. I was glad i came to the right place to download graphics for scrapbook, Shabby Princess.

Thanks Princess, Here's what i've made from your graphics.

Ken is my first nephew. He is such a nice kid my mom told me. He turned 2 last September. At his age you never have to worry leaving him while doing the household chores coz he stays where he is. He is already very organize with his things like toys, slippers, shoes and clothes. Other than the kiddy shows on tv he enjoyed watching Dyosa.

Louie is the opposite of Ken. You have to watch him 24/7 or else......(unless he is sleeping of course). My sister told me that one time they just saw him playing the water of the toilet bowl. He would always touched whatever things on his reach. My stepfather told me that maybe he will grow up as "siga ng baryo"

As you may notice they have the same clothes. I sent it to them last Christmas and asked my sister to take a photo of them wearing it. Hmmm i miss them so much. It was sad that i would not see them as they grow.

FIRST TIME

Yesterday me and my friends spent the whole day in Mamzar Beach Park. It was fun. I loved the place, the views, and of course the water.

Sounds weird but yes... it was my first time to wear two piece swim wear. I am a swimmer by nature and had joined so many swimming competition but i never had the guts to wear two piece other than sports swimsuit.. So yesterday was a dream come true for me. I bought several two piece before but never tried to used it. Last thursday i told my friend that i'll bring any of my swim wear for the purpose of taking picture and i'll put on my shirt after.

Then yesterday when we went to the water, there was only two kids swimming so i decided not to wear my shirt back since no one was there except the kids. Just had my short shorts than the string bikini.

OBAMA'S VICTORY

Last night I told my husband that I was praying for Obama to win the US Presidential Election and he replied me what benefits will it bring you if he wins? Astonished to what he replied, I answered him that are you not aware of the global financial crisis?

I wish to tell him that I have a great hope that Obama will really bring the greatest CHANGE to US and even to the whole world. How I wanted him to agree with me but I know… like always… we usually have a different views of everything we discussed.

It’s the first time I was concerned of who will be the next president of United States. I don’t know what kind of charisma that Obama has….. for me to like him to be the next president.

Congratulations to him!
