FREE FACIAL TREATMENT

A facial is a procedure involving a variety of skin treatments, including: steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, masks, peels, and massage. Normally performed in a beauty salon but it is also a common spa treatment.

The other night I got a chance to visit Bloomingdales at Dubai Mall to try the free facial promo of Este Lauder. A friend of my flatmates is working there and she invited us to try it. It was just a basic facial treatment but still the experience was really great. The last time I had my facial treatment was 2 years ago wherein I hated to go back for any treatment anymore. I remember I went out from the salon with my face almost swollen because the Aesthetician/Beautician (whatever you call a person doing the facial) had extracted all blackheads and whiteheads which had cause broken capillaries and discoloration on my face because it was done improperly.

The other night's experience is awesome that I think would let me consider facial treatment once I a month maybe esp. now that I've been having a problem with pimples and skin blemishes.

BIRTH TALK

Another girls talk time!!! You know what's my only wish while typing my post for today's theme is that i hope Niko will have her internet connection at home or those sites whom she usually visit at work will be unblocked.

I don't really have an exact story about my birth date other than that i was born out of wedlock. My mom gave birth to me when she was 24 and named me Sheryl which i don't know why she chose this name. I was registered without my fathers name on my birth certificate. My complete name is Sheryl Ferrer but it should be Sheryl Ferrer Tabuzo. My granny told me why it happened that i don't have my father's name on my birth certificate...that's because they we're afraid that my father would have the right to take me from them who are actually planning to send me to US since my Aunt is planning to adopt me????...i heard some more stories about my birth from hearsays but i don't know if it was true. My mom never told me how i came to this world...hehehe

My birthday is June, 23 and i was born on the year of the ram (1979). My zodiac sign is Cancer. My traditional birthstone is Alexandrite and Emerald.

NEW RESIDENCE VISA

Thanks God i receive my passport now with my new residence visa. It took as a month processing for it. First we were fined at the Ministry of Labour for the delays of my labor application, then followed by the requirements (photos of all employees plus the signage of the compange) of the sponsor as required by Immigration as per their new rule. We had to pass a new set of photos since the first photos i submitted was rejected because i was the subject from all the photos taken from each table of employees.

Again it's a 3 years contract which i'm planning not to finish coz i want to look for another job which offers a better pay after a year maybe...i should have done it before renewing my visa but because of recession i thought that it was not the best time to look for another job.

ATTACHED TOES AND EXTRA TOENAILS

This will be the first time sharing this thing about me online ….thought it’s known by relatives and close friends.

I can vividly remember my classmates during grade school on how they tease me about my attached toes and extra toenails esp. when we had a fight due to some reason. Often times I would go home crying and when I reach home my mom would ask me why?...then I would just say it’s because they tease me about my toes. …and she would say “don’t mind them”

When you’re young you tend to ask so many questions to your parents which sometimes irritate them. So one time, I ask my mom what might be the reason why I have my toes different from my siblings and classmates. And she told me that during her conception, she wanted to eat that twin banana she saw on the nearby store but when she comes back to buy it….the banana is already sold out. A superstitious belief which I don’t know if you guys heard about such kind of story also. And then most of the old folks who saw my toes, they would say “that’s your lucky charm and it will bring you success”.

I grew up using slip on slipper just to hide my toes. I hate people seeing it! I’m afraid they will tease me like what my classmates did. Before I thought I was a mutant... for having undeveloped finger toes but then last year I read from one of my schoolmates’ blog about her daughter’s extra finger. I’ve known that it is commonly called Polydactyly, a congenital physical anomaly in humans having supernumerary fingers or toes.

For some who might have the same deformity in your body...don't feel bad coz you're lucky as what the old folks says...

NEW MAKE UP KIT

Hahaha! Out of the blue I bought this new make up kit.

Recently I have been watching that make up tutorial in You Tube and I was fascinated on how they applied make up on their faces. So with my new make up kit I can try it now…

Well, actually I don't really apply make up everyday. I go to work with just a light foundation and johnson baby powder plus forever living lip gloss. So i think i can only used this make up kit for fun or if we're going to a party...

3 MONTHS BABY BUMPS TUMMY

Recently i've been complaining about my tummy, it's getting bigger each day and i hate it. Some friends were already asking if i'm pregnant, but i'm not. Early this year i have noticed that even at a short distance walk i easily got tired and hardly take a breath. Then when i have checked my weight i've learned that i gained almost 6.6lbs. Well, actually it was not something to be worried so far coz it was just a matter of 6.6lbs unlike others they worry about 120lbs and above.

Gaining weight is everyone's wish for me especially my mom. So i was glad that finally i have gained weight but having my tummy getting bigger each day irritates me. I can no longer wear some of my clothes and i have to buy new one's which is out of my budget. Now i understand that it's really expensive to gain weight.

Blamed it to my laziness for having this 3 months baby bumps tummy. Been too lazy at work. I could not even stand when i have to reached something from behind instead i would used my chair to get where i want to. I would only stand if i have to take water from the pantry or go to the comfort room. Then at home, since my hubby came to Dubai i started to eat a lot during dinner then right after i would sleep. Morning time, no stretching, no exercise nothing. The only exercise i have each day was a mins of walk going to the bus stop.

So last week i started to have that banana diet in the morning then less rice / carbs during dinner. Instead of fatty foods i always prepared that vegetable salad at night and more fruits. I just hope it will be helfpul.

I wish to have that same falt tummy on the picture shown below. I guess i really have to discpline myself now. But honestly it was the first time for me to worry about it coz i was slim for my whole life but not now.

SICK DURING THE INTERVIEW (EXAM)

I don't know if its the weather change that triggered my allergy (Airborne Allergy). Almost a weeks that i have experienced this mild itching ang sneezing and just the other day i had this extreme allergies reaction. It started with sneezing, then runny nose followed by clogged nose. Then yesterday it becomes worst, I have cough & cold and fever. I wanted to take a leave just to have some rest but that would be very impossible so for two days i was at work just to hear myself coughing althroughout the day.

Then early yesterday i had a call from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, asking if it's ok for them to forward my cv to recruitment. (By the way i had my online application 6 months back and that i didn't expect them to call me) And i said yes, then he told me that they might call me within 15 days for an interview. Then around 9 o'clock they called me again, telling that i am scheduled for an interview today at 9am - Dewa Head Office. Oh my! I told myself!! I'm not prepared for this especially that i'll be having an interview from one of the government company. Nevertheless, i felt great knowing that my CV or application is shortlisted. Considering the number of applicants who wanted to join this company, i'm glad that i was one of them to attend the interview. I heard from a friend who had and interview last week that there was an actual (excel & powerpoint) and written (memo writing) exam. So then i tried to refresh myself from excel and powerpoint application and browsed the internet for a memo sample since i was not familiar with it coz i'm not really doing it here in the office.

So today i wake up as early as 5:30 to prepare myself for the interview. Fills my empty stomach with little food, put on a light make up & wear my most presentable (conservative - as required) business suit. My plan was to take a bus insted of a cab but as i am walking going to the bus stand i decided to take a cab so since i don't know the place yet. Sadly the cab driver doesn't know the place also do it took as more 15 mins to reach there.

Exactly 8:30, i am already at the meeting room waiting for the interviewer. A minute later, a muslim indian lady came and ask some few question. I thought there will be a tough interview question but then she told us that we will have an actual and written exam for the day then if we are shorlisted we will be called for a final interview. I was actually worried that maybe at the middle of the interview i will cough but then there was no interview.

1. Chat - I was 18 when i started to chat and explore the chatroom. I've been to different regions of the world, met a lot of good and rude chatters and found few friends. I remember the longest hour i stayed in an internet cafe was from 12 am to 12mn.
2. Watch Movies Online - I don't have enough time to go to Cinema or even watch movies at home so i watch movies online whenever i'm not busy at work.
3. Fruit & Vege's - Something i can't live for a day.
4. Call Home - I call my mom twice a week as much as possible.
5. Go Out - I've always love going out but since Pangit came i can't do it as much as i wanted to... Hmmm

NEW PROFILE PHOTO

I change my profile photo just today. It's a crazy look a like photo which was taken when we we're having our photo safari adventure during my photography class year 2006. It was taken somewhere in Dibba, Fujairah, U.A.E. at the Carpet Market.

Among the photos i have...i like it most! Anyone of you can say any comment on this photo? I would love to say that it describes me as i am, in a sense that even if i am in trouble i remain hopefull for everything to be alright.

I do look like a crazy lady in the street but have you notice that i'm still beautiful even if i look that way...hahahaha.

FEW UPDATES

My system was down...not totally but it automatically restart every after 15-20 minutes, the reason why all my blogs are not updated. Niko's tags are on a queue and many other things needs to be posted. Got to wait for my computer to be check by an IT.

Anyway, since i can also used the computer of my boss when he's not around... let me update few things about me for the past days. Early this month, i have attended Pacman's (Pangit's Company) Dhow Cruise Party. It was my second time for a dhow cruise dinner and it was great coz the weather is nice. On the third week before Vanessa left, we went to the creek side for the Dubai Shopping Festival. The night souq wasn't great this time. Some perfume, watch & clothing shops were there but mostly Indian made.

One month almost since we transfered to a new Flat (ABC 1, Flat 609) and i've learned to stay at home always...watching tv, cooking, doing all the household chores, chit chatting with flat mates and sleeping. I wonder that from an outgoing lady i now become a homebody!

So here's my "High School Days" photo. I was a freshmen here and it was the first photo that was sent to our parents after a months that we came to the Sister of Mary School to study. Actually i was with Sister Mercy on this photo and its a whole body picture but it was damaged by the typhoons that washout our house.

Anyway, have you ever imagine yourself having a very short hair like this? I had this haircut for 3 1/2 long years and i remember i was in second year when i had a one inch bangs as a punishment for being disobedient.

Would you believe i cried when i had this haircut? Since young i was having a very long hair and i can't accept that they have to cut it as a rule. Then as the days past i've learned to accept it coz 4000 students had the same short hair as mine.
